Mine arrived yesterday!!
I've purposefully stayed away from knowing what's included, so extremely
glad that 261 is there. One of my favourite stories and also my favourite
period of JB's inking so that will be examined extremely thoroughly.
Also glad that 243 is there as that was me real tipping point in regards to
getting the rest of JB's FF run (I seriously got into comics after he'd left so
there were all got as back issues grabbed in random order) and getting really
inspired to work on all aspects of the job, as oppose to just sticking to
pencilling.
Hopefully this will do well enough for there to be others (there's got to be
material out there for about another 10 or so FF books, right?) as well as X-
Men, and She-Hulk, and WCA, and...

I have one waiting for me at my LCS - it will be my first Artist's Edition!

Yep, they quickly become an addiction. I ordered JB's back in March
and happened upon a Joe Kubert Tarzan for just over cost. That was
going to be it. Currently I have four with three more on the way.

JB-"Rapidograph pens"
That surprises me, although I'm sure you have mentioned that before John.
Are these the same Rapidograph pens that are usually used for the more technical act of lettering, like so: Amazon Example. ?

Are these the same Rapidograph pens that are usually used for the more technical act of lettering…•• When I was in my early teens, and my Dad was with the Planning Department at City Hall in Edmonton, on weekends he got into the habit of bringing home a set of Rapidograph pens for me to use. They were my first experience drawing with technical pens, and I assumed ALL ink drawings were done with something like them. (At this point, I was still drawing without pencil layouts.) Eventually, for something like my 14th or 15th birthday, Dad bought me a second hand set of the pens, and they became the only thing I drew for many a moon after. When I started at Charlton I had learned about inking with a brush, and most of my work there was done that way, but when I came to ink the FF I was trying to imitate the style of Terry Austin, who had been originally set to ink the book. This began a long quest for an inking tool that would give me the line I really wanted.

This book is simply amazing. I have gone through it a few times
already. With this, the Byrne-verse, the second Fantastic Four
Omnibus, and the new Star Trek story it is an amazing time to be a
Byrne fan!

Well evidentially the $100 price tag was too much for three of my LCS to order on spec (come on it's BYRNE someone would have bought it). But I did get one shop to have it's sister store send one down. They said it'd be a few weeks, but I will get to eventually see this beauty!
Anyone care to tell me what covers are in it?

Steve, despite my protest, my LCS doesn't regularly carry them. Some
nonsense about people won't buy oversized books. So any time I
order one I have to put down $50 to get the order placed. I then give
them $50 upon arrival. Maybe your shop can work out a similar
arrangement. What I have found with these Artist Editions, IF YOU
WANT IT, ORDER IT! DON'T WAIT! Most shops automatically set
these up at collectors pricing. So, your $100 book will go for $125
minimum. Although, some of the larger books do have a $125 price
tag upon order.

Once the Walt Simonson Thor is reprinted, I'll order that too. I'll have to track down some of the older ones if I can. We'll see - I don't have a ton of money, but I do have one more kidney and one more lung than are strictly necessary for me to survive...
