Second one is great too, Stephen.  I think you're going to need them all.

And, to pivot from Toth, would love to see a John Buscema Artist's Edition.

The Toth books have been phenomenal thus far.  The pictures for the third volume show a slipcase for the set, but I can find no info on IDW's site about purchasing it.

Those Toth books are fantastic - IDW's case for them is handsome.

IDW sure has the market cornered these days on comics and collected editions.

Dave, I saw the slipcase edition too. Yeah, no info on that edition, or
at least I can't find any. I'd sell my one and get the slipcase in a
heartbeat. Hard to buy when they aren't telling you how.

Maybe I should change the title back to Chris Ryall Wants To Make
Us Broke. At this point I have a couple of questions that IDW's
website does not provide answers for. Chris was gracious enough to
post in that original thread.

"Mike Mignola's HELLBOY Artist Edition solicited for May."

I don't own any of the Artist Editions, but I do own a couple original pages of Mignola's Hellboy. I'm quite happy to own them, but I don't know that they'd benefit much from a large reprint edition. I was looking at them (framed on my wall) yesterday; there is very little to discover beyond what you'll see in the printed books at your local comic store. Mignola's style looks effortless (I'm sure it didn't feel that way to him as he developed it) and what he draws/inks is very much what you get.

Assuming it's release is still on track, this Wednesday should bring...

THE JACK KIRBY NEW GODS ARTIST EDITION!

I disagree about Mignola's work. I love seeing the variations in ink in the black areas. You can see a rhythm in them. His originals are closer to paintings than lineart IMO, even though they're all india ink.

I think the book will look great. I'd be a buyerÉ. if the pages had their lettering.

disappointed.

Just got the Toth books, and they're great.  Really looking forward to seeing the third one.
