Mine arrived yesterday too.  My entire family sat down to go over it.  I was so excited.

Pretty amazing to see the amount of white out on the Colletta inked pages and the dramatic drop in its use with the ones inked by Royer.  I hardly saw any on Royer's pages.

Hands down my favorite Artist's Edition so far.

There's a comic con here this weekend and it has become my mission to purchase my first Artist Edition. The only thing that might stop me would be a big box of treasury comics.

Saw the Marvel covers in previews. This will be my gateway drug into these books. The DKR book I'll probably get too.

My LCS confirmed that the Kirby New Gods AE supposed to arrive
5/14 like Joe mentioned. For those of you who already have yours, I'm
jealous.

Finally got mine as well yesterday.  I think the best way to describe it is to show you the first  thing you see when you open the book.*

*I included a greeting card I purchased the other day to give a sense of scale.

That's awesome Ernest. I pick mine up tomorrow evening. Like I
mentioned earlier, I'm really looking forward to seeing the Glory Boat
splash page from issue 6. It's one of my favorite images from Kirby's
run on NEW GODS.

It's MINE! HA! HA! HA! HA! The Kirby AE is MINE!

Sadly the page I mentioned before from issue six isn't scanned from
the original art, but it doesn't matter. What a beautiful book!

Seeing the evolution of the cover in the back was interesting.
Personally, I think Kirby's first instincts were correct. Having the image
changed and then replace with someone elses work was just terrible
on DC's part. It is nice to see Kirby's original vision for the cover.
Congrats to Scott, Chris and the gang on another amazing edition.

Next: Steranko's Nick Fury:Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. There will be two
volumes of this. One to come later in the year. It's supposed to be sort
of the Nick Fury Team Up AE.

On another forum, I discovered what the announcement was that
came out of Big Wow Con. I can't find it anywhere else so right now
I'd call it rumor until someone can verify with either Scott or Chris.

Anyway the word is, the announced AE was:
Joe Kubert's ENEMY ACE

Again, if someone has Scott or Chris' ear, it would be nice to get
confirmation.

No official confirmation but I did read that there indeed would be an Joe Kubert's Enemy Ace AE (with the Neal Adams-inked story in it as well):

Kubert's Tarzan was my favorite (after Kirby's New Gods) AE so the Enemy Ace has me stoked!
