I've got an Enemy Ace and THE SPIRIT Vol. 2 just waiting for me to
grab.

Thanks for the images of the Mister Miracle, Joe. It saddened me to
pass on it. I was so glad to find IDW was putting out this format.

I have a passion for the medium of comics. Lately, the majority of
subject matter and execution has all but steered me out of my
passion. These are now the majority of collecting I pursue. Between
these and the publisher, housing two of my favorite storytellers creator
owned projects, I can never thank Scott Dunbier, Chris Ryall and the
rest of IDW enough for keeping my fire for comics alive.

That Mister Miracle looks awfully nice.  Kamandi should be out soon.  Hope IDW does a Demon and a Forever People.

Best of EC, Vol. 2 and the Romita Spider-Man Artifact Edition are up for sale.  I am down for both.  The second Steranko is supposed to be coming soon.  I received the Mister Miracle this week and man is it nice!  Nothing like Kirby at that size.

the cover.

Good job Team IDW.

The Big Expense for this month, the artist's edition (or whatever this co. calls it) for Vol. 3 of Frank Thorne's Red Sonja, which I haven't yet cracked, and the Best of EC Artist Ed. Vol. 2, which I have.  Wow, this stuff looks great at the original size., even better than the Russ Cochran hardcover b&w volumes of yore, which is saying something.  There's an early Johnny Craig where it seems he might have gone in more of a Wood direction; beautiful, but thank goodness he continued to develop his own distinctive style.  Fine artist types like Al Williamson really benefit from this size, but so, surprisingly, do powerful bold artists like Harvey Kurtzman, who is well represented.

Received my copy of KAMANDI minutes ago. So amazing to look at this book and remember buying the comic new when I was in Art College. This is one of those Kirby titles I would have loved to see inked by Wally Wood in his prime!
