Kurtis, if an institution is doing something like this, it should be researched and done properly.

I recall that Wayne Boring often did shots of Clark Kent opening his shirt to reveal the "S" emblem; I read the archive editions back when, but I don't recall if Shuster introduced this.  Does anyone know who did it first?  And in what issue?

Regarding the 1986 Superman cover card, the French version
of the Canadian Post is accurately crediting JB.

Beyond everything else that's been said, Action Comics #13 is an odd choice.  Shuster didn't do a lot of covers, but I wouldn't pick that one as his second best.

Wayne Boring is certainly among the top four Superman artists of all time, and should have been included too.  Here's a favorite of mine by him that would have made a nice postcard:

Jason, I believe that image is one of those shown on the website...

This appears to have been corrected.

Still, no Swan.

 QUOTE:
I noticed that the set of five postcards is crediting the cover to Man of Steel #1 Special Collectors Edition as drawn by Dick Giordano. I thought Dick Giordano was just the inker on this series. Is this a typo by Canada Post?

I picked up a pack of these stamps today.
I chose the pack with the John Byrne cover, 'natch.

I'm a little put out that out of the 10 stamps inside the booklet, none of them have the John Byrne artwork. I can only assume that the cover art has no stamp representation inside. I'm gonna have to go back tomorrow and check inside the others.rrrrrrrr.

Okay, I went back and learned that the JB stamp is on the strip/roll of 4, 10, and 75. And postcard. (of which they have none today: check back in a couple days)

It's funny to think about it -- my association with Superman has put my art on the cover of TIME and on a stamp. Not places I'd ever have imagined, if I'd given thought to it at all at the beginning of my career.

It's been a long, strange journey for that little boy from West Bromwich!

This seems a good place to mention it, The Canadian Mint has just released a series of coins honouring Superman's 75th anniversary. The various coins look pretty cool, and there's even an expensive gold one ($750) that has art from Superman's Canadian Co-creator, Joe Shuster.
