Lars, that's a great feeling!  I'm not doing any shows till August, but then Boston comiccon, CT Comiconn, and possibly a road trip to Pitt comiccon. Few smaller shows mixed in usually.

I was thinking of going to Wizard's Chicago convention this year.  Unlike in years past, there will be no conflict since it's the 3rd weekend of the month.

BUT I saw the prices of the tickets....  $94.95 for a regular, no frills "4" day pass!!  (I use quotes because it's not quite 4 full days as Thursday and Friday are shorter hours.)  A single day ticket is $40, $50, or $60, depending on the day!   PLUS the fees of $6+.

If anyone from here is going, let's talk dinner plans!  Otherwise, I think I'll pass on this con.

Is anyone attending Philly this weekend? I don't have tickets, but, as always, I'd be happy to meet up for a beer.

Heroes Con, Vegas and Philly all on the same weekend. Not attending a
single one. I'm slipping in my old age.

Got my ticket for Capital City Comic Con, Austin, Texas. First year for this con and it has plenty of artists and writers. Looking forward to Larry Hama, Paul Jenkins, Kevin Eastman, Jay Anacleto, Whilce Portacio, Bernie Wrightson, Art Thibert, and more!

I am officially going to my first ever San Diego Comic-Con. A buddy of
mine was able to score me a four day pass so I figured I will check out
the show and see what all the hub-bub is about. Been going to cons for
well over 25 years, hard to believe this is my first trip to the big show.

By the way, everyone, this is Paul's year he was cutting down on cons...his will power does not exactly rival Hal Jordan's.  If Paul was a Green Lantern he could barely use the ring as a nightlight.

It'll be quite the time, Paul. After attending San Diego a few times I
decided to give it up.

Since this is the con thread, I'm posting this hre:

Not sure if anyone cares or not, but William Shatner is hosting a TNG panel the Sunday night after WW Chicago Con at Rosemont Theater.  You do not have to buy tickets for the con itself to go.  With the exception of Patrick Stewart and Wil Wheaton, all the main TNG cast members will be there.

And the password is ADMIRAL

Oh, and it ain't cheap.

Well if all goes according to plan, Joe, I will only be attending 6 cons this year. I did attend 10 last year. So I still remain a man of my word. ;)

Paul,
Losing your SDCC cherry should be painless (except for the sore feet).
One bit of advice..... expect it to be insane! It makes it much easier. The
thing is so huge, you definitely want to do your research before, cuts
down on the walking and its really easy to miss an artist, panel or
exhibitor you want to see. Have fun!
