11" x 17" illustration of Galactus sitting in his command chair inside of a holographic imaging chamber that shows the outer space (planets/cosmos) outside of Galactus' ship. The details are: - Portrait layout - Please have a feel similar to the following Fantastic Four page, but have Galactus facing toward the viewer: LINK - Draw Galactus in his chair interacting with various displays, control panels, and/or pieces of equipment - Include lots of foreground and background Galactus technology - Please have approximately half of the image area being taken up by Galactus and his tech and half by the outer space elements All the times I have drawn characters seated, in order to fill the most space in a single figure w/o backgrounds piece, I do believe this is the first time I have been ASKED for a seated figure.

As I'm looking at this one, I'm thinking maybe I should start tagging Kirby Krackle for any one searching for an example on how it should be done!

In some of the earliest instances in which I drew "Kirby Krackle" -- back in my fan days -- I was focusing on the "black dots." That was how I had heard the effect described (usually by inkers complaining about "all those black dots!") and it was quite a while before my eyes kind of "flipped" and I realized it wasn't the "black dots" that were important, but the negative spaces those dots were defining.I pointed this out to many artists over the years, some of whom got it, some of whom didn't. Early example of the Krackle done wrong: LINK2

No way this piece is 11" X 17". It's a single figure, but it looks massive. There were pages within the F4 Artist Edition that I actually gasped as I turned the page, I am sure this one would produce similar results.

I will parrot Joe's comment and the lead set by my good friend Bill to put some Galactus into my Byrne collection. This is a great image and has quite a sense of determination shout it.
I wonder if in the decades to come some young artist will look for inspiration and stumble across what he/she coins "Byrne blasts". :)

I've mentioned before that one of the fun things about Kirby Krackle is that it is multi-purpose. Jack used it for cosmic vistas, explosions, lightning, fire, smoke, ocean waves, and even hair!
