I just read that it was announced last month that Marvel was no longer producing the ESSENTIAL line. I've been waiting and waiting for the next volume in the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN run to see the black costume in black-and-white and now I find out it's not coming. So much for that ALPHA FLIGHT volume, too.

Dammit.

Damn, now i have nothing to buy from Marvel..those Essentials for Spider-Man and the Thing were all i was getting from that company

Too bad. My hope is that they finish some titles that have been long running (for instance, I've been getting THE DEFENDERS and they're within a book or two of finishing off the original run) but a quick check on Amazon reveals nothing. That sucks.

That's too bad. The ESSENTIALS volumes were the best thing coming out of
Marvel.

Does anybody have Spider Man vol 9 ? I have looked everywhere for it and the only ones I can find are on Amazon for crazy prices. Was this one short printed ? Any suggestions where else to look ?

Yep, there calling them, EPIC COLLECTIONS. They give you fewer
issues, but in color. Then they charge you $40+ dollars per volume.
