I'll accept digital photographs in a pinch, Lars.

The second Scarlet Witch on this page is the greatest Scarlet Witch
image of all time. Since I own it, I am a bit biased. ;)

That Cyclops is mine! JB drew it for me in the late 70's at the NYC CreationCon. It's still one of my most prized originals and I've recently framed and hung it in my studio right beside my Dave Cockrum Cyclops sketch done in the same time period!

Mr. Byrne's Scarlet Witch has always been a favorite. She is so recognizable it's like seeing an old friend .

Wow. That Art Nichols guy sure does like Terry Austin.

But once again we must ask, if we have a pencil piece by a famous or favorite artist, which is kinda rare, why would we get it inked, thus turning it into something kinda commonplace?

The two Scarlet Witch drawings demonstrate JB's subtle improvements in his
approach in the decade in-between them (I would place the first drawing
around 1982 - what does everyone else think?), even though the '93 drawing
is a sketch as opposed to the full drawing of the first.

That Storm piece in post 3 is amusing, in an aggravating sort of way. One of the things I DIDN'T like about Terry's inks on X-MEN was that he put zipatone on the white highlight on the underside of Ororo's cape. Since this was not how Dave Cockrum designed the character, it just looked wrong to me.

Apparently Terry didn't have any zip with him when he inked this sketch, so he crosshatched the highlights!!

Dan, I had a look through the gallery but couldn't find the attached files...so just in case I thought I'd jump on Nathan's thread.

JB draws a great Robin. Another one of those characters that I don't associate with JB but is drawn by him as well as anyone.

The early-to-mid '80s pencil "convention sketches" are easily my favorite pieces.  That was my comic book prime and seeing JBs pencils on those characters is wonderful.
