The graphic novel is available on Amazon for a reasonable price.

JB:  "Make something happen, Marc! I'm sure Ron wouldn't mind! :)"

I really should look to develop this!  It's a slam dunk, y'know, boxing wise.

How about pitching and developing it as an animated TV series?

You'll never make it happen if you are "pitching" for a "slam dunk" about something that has to do with boxing! You should be "jabbing" and "go for the knockout".

Though I've never read Super Boxers, Ron Wilson is a nice guy and a talent younger readers should learn of!

••

It used to frustrate me, when I was working with Ron, that at Cons I would hear so many readers/fans dismissing his work as "bad," while praising others who, as far as I could tell, were "bad" in exactly the same way!

There was one "superstar" of the time who's approach was very similar to Ron's, yet, to my eye, nowhere near as good.

Further testimony to the way "thoughts" get lodged in the collective conscious of some fans, and once there cannot be shaken loose.

In what way was Ron considered bad? I never saw a problem with his art.

I couldn't get anyone to tell me HOW Ron's art was "bad," It just WAS. As I say, one of those thoughts that lodges in the minibrains, and they are afraid that changing their minds will HURT.

JB, Ron just had the misfortune of drawing characters you made your
own. You can be a tough act to follow. Judged on his own merits, he's
a really good artist.
