Walt Simonson THOR Vol. 5 tpb, this finishes off his run. Again, there
are very few few times that I like to see books recolored, but the work
done on these is impressive.

Speaking of Walt Simonson...

From IDW in July!!

Ragnarök #1—GEM OF THE MONTH Walter Simonson (w & a & c)

Ragnarök...the Twilight of the Gods in Norse Mythology...the destruction of the Nine
worlds. And now, three hundred years later, the birth of vengeance. Walter Simonson
returns to comics in a BIG way with an all-new series... and doing what he does best!!
My wife and my children are dead. My brothers and sisters are dead. My parents
are dead. The Great Enemies still live. But I swear on
the shattered bones of my kinsmen... they will not live
forever. I shall become... the storm.

Walter Simonson is one of the most acclaimed and
respected creators in comics. He
has done defining runs on Thor, Manhunter, Star
Slammers, Elric, Orion and more.
Now, in his first creator-owned series in 20 years, he
brings his tremendous artistic arsenal to a brand new
world... the twilight world of Ragnarök!

Although I may be setting myself up for disappointment, I gotta say - excitement is building in anticipation of Amazing Spider-man # 1 due out next Wednesday, by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos. Any thoughts?

RAGNAROK won't get me out to a comic shop as I haven't been in an age, but it will make me keep an eye out for the inevitable IDW collection sometime down the line.  It looks awesome!

If there's a comic book I'm waiting, that's Amazing #1, Juan! Superior Spider-Man was very good, but I missed Peter Parker.

This week...

- Superman #30.
