I didn't realize that this coincided with Jack Kirby's birthday.

On this day in 1955, Emmett Till was beaten (even had his eyes gouged out), shot, killed and dumped in a river.

I assume most of you know who Till was.

Never forget.

I had not heard this story before, but have heard many like it. We need to keep as many of the faces of hate crimes in the front of our minds. From Emmett Till to Matt Shepard to countless others, it is important to care and important to help others remember as well. Thank you for this reminder.
