I met Dan Jolley at a con so I know he's a real person. Plus he wrote a Doctor Strange mini-series and JB has always stated he never got to do Dr. Strange.

John Arcudi did the Doom Patrol book before JB did the relaunch. Plus you can't forget the Mask by Dark Horse

What a boat load of fun this is!!!!

I like the J.D. Finn angle ( though there have been rumors floating around that this is a Chuck Austin pseudonym).

Are there any other's that are still possible.

Did anyone check Vertigo and the other peripheral DC books?

and how does "Notice" translate into an authors name.

And what is the defining characteristic of JB's written work.

I have been thinking about that question and i think one answer is that he has reverence and respect for the characters, and what has come before.

Yeah, I just can't wrap my head around JB doing a follow-up to Hush. JB is the guy that produces major stories, not the one who does second-hand 'me too' storytelling. Plus, that interview that Joe linked (for AJ Lieberman) just doesn't read like something JB would write (at least, based on how he writes here and in his essays).

I could definately see JB writing a book like the PPG though, or maybe some Vertigo book?

At this point, I'm thinking JB was kidding.

Todd, there was a JB is JD Finn rumor that floated a while back too. I believe there was a claim that Chuck Austen admitted to putting his name under pseudonym, but it makes little sense why. That would be like giving the one-finger salute to the company which gave him Superman to write.

Looks like JD Finn has been on Action only a couple months.  Is this true?  He/she is being followed up by Judd Winick on a tale which stars Shazam.

Chuck Austen uses the pen name Sam Clemens on his creator owned title. He put up a fake letters page that reads, This book is awesome but Chuck Austin sucks. The book would be much better without him. So he announced that he(Austen) was fired and replaced by Mr. Clemens. Have to give the guy credit for having a sense of humor about the negative press he gets. So I wouldn't be surrprised if he finished out his Action run under a pen name as well.

Is JB exclusive to DC? Maybe it's not from DC?

He won't end it. He loves keeping us in suspense. And I'm in the group that says that he was just kidding.

maybe JB is waiting to have a HUGE success in his hands and then after 100 issues he reveals himself in a story called "your old stuff was better". then She-hulk kills him again (in the comic).
