Hey, I've been writing one DC book under a pen name for more than a year now. Still waiting for people to "notice".

What can it be? The only other DC titles I read are written by Gail Simone and Geoff Johns, and I think it's safe to say that JB isn't ghostwriting under one of their names. Anyone reading a DC title that 'feels' like it's Byrne-penned?

Does anyone else besides me think JB was joking?

I figured he was joking.  Either that or his criticisms of Brad Meltzer and Identity Crisis are really a big gag...

I guess I didn't really consider the possiblity of it being a joke.

This is an interesting question, though:  I know that we can all recognize JB's art at 20 paces, and some of us can recognize it if it consists solely of a redrawn pant leg.

BUT how would you recognize JB's writing.  What are the unmistakable touches that would lead you to say hey!! That's JB's

I am afraid that I dont have an answer.

Todd

He has a habit of using "off-panel" quotes as a lead-in for a scene
change. That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.

Could it be that JB is referring to Doom Patrol? He probably has been writing it for a year even though a year's worth of issues haven't come out yet. His reference to waiting for someone to notice could refer to the sales numbers.

Nope.  He said ghostwriting.  That would mean pseudonymously.

Well he's definitely "ghost writing" on Doom Patrol -- the Civil War ghost to be exact.
