Sometimes looks like they are holding an iPad to their head.

***

Prior to the iPad's release, a female co-worker was insisting to me that it was also a phone.  I finally picked up a notebook -- of the paper variety -- and held it to my head, saying "Hello? Hello?"

When she saw how ridiculous it looked to use something of that size as a phone, she conceded I was right.

I you use other Apple products, like an iPad or an iMac
I'de definitely go with the iPhone on account of the Yosemite
update allowing users to work seamlessly from one device to
another.

Your Apple products will "talk" to one another, instantly providing
you the option to continue working from your phone to your mac,
which is amazing and efficient!

I have an HTC One-S, which runs the Android OS. I like most things about the phone, but the battery life just stinks. It's due for an upgrade early next year -- the always-decent battery life of Apple's iPhone is an attractive proposition, but I do quite like Android.

I find the battery life of the Galaxy S5 to be pretty good, and the "battery save" modes are quite effective at conserving battery life while still maintaining functionality.

I recently upgraded from the iPhone 4s to the iPhone 6, and I'm happy with
it.

Stephen: Can anybody who has it, recommend it?
--

I used the Fire phone for about two days. I don't recommend it. This review really sums up what I thought of it.

What is your budget, and what are your priorities?

Cost/Storage
Screen Size
App Selection/Quality
Overall Software Ecosystem
Hardware Fit and Finish
Customization Options

This year I became an Apple guy with a mini iPad, a Mac Book Pro from my new job and an iPhone 5s. I love the connectivity between my devices.

As a resident of Waterloo, Ontario, I am curious that after 18 posts, no one has even mentioned a Blackberry (good or bad comments). I know iPhone leads the American market, but are Blackberries that totally off the radar in the USA?

100% totally a non factor here in the US. The people that own them generally are given them via work, but as a general public phone I don't even think it's the tenth option for American consumers.

My industry has switched to iPhones as work phone options...I don't know how Bberry manages to stick around.

Sadly (I mean I've never owned one, but it's sad seeing
a Canadian company fall so hard), I think the Blackberry
is even a non-factor in Canada.
