So they needed to boost sales on the book that was their top seller? That makes perfect sense and is well worth the sacrifice of a beloved love interest!

I just wish the writers would stop the whole Gwen Stacy thing.  She died years ago and are they really that creatively bereft that no one can think of another idea to boost sales?  I've haven't read a comic in well over twenty years however I'd like to think that Spider Man ....if he aged naturally in comics like the "Generations" Elseworlds story line by John Byne...Spidey would have his own super team that he oversees now that he can't spin webs like he did early in his career.  Peter could be in charge of the next generation of Spider Men or Women if he had any offspring and decided to use his experience to fight crime.

On the subject of "Generations":

I never saw a paperback of Generations Part III.  Is there any available on line?  I have the first two and must of read them several times already.  However it would have been neat to see a Spider Man version of this concept.  I can see it now...the Agents of the Spider's W.E.B.  the new Spider team of the future.

Oh BTW, there is a version of Gwen currently alive and being
Spider-Girl. I don't know if she's resurrected, a clone or alternate
timeline version. Word is she's getting a series.

Robert, currently there isn't a Generations 3 tpb. And, if you really like
your Spidey concept, I hope you're watching the Disney XD
Spider-Man cartoon this season.

Oh, I dunno, Greg... Marvel has other ideas: Another "Civil War," another "Planet Hulk," another "Infinity Gauntlet," another "Secret Wars"...

LOTS of ideas, just no NEW ones. ;-)

Matt, you forgot "Armor Wars" all from what I understand are events
set for next year. I think Marvel really wants to see if event fatigue is
real.
