Being swedish, I don't always understand all english/american expressons. I know that Scott Free isn't only a name, but what does it also stand for?

How ironic , according to The Phrase Finder the origin of "scott free" comes from "tax free" the word scot mutated from the scandinavian 'skat' meaning tax or payment..
