Yes, a not too distant cousin to the "Ch" in the proper pronunciation of "Chanukah."

In college I looked on the window inside the dining hall and said, "What's Cha-nukah?" My jewish classmates still joke about that one.

I worked with a fellow from Ireland who used the Gaelic spelling of his name.. My bossed called up once to ask who Raghallaigh ( which he pronounced "Rig lee ack") was. He butchered the first name too, but I can't recall what it was.
