Here's what awaits me today at the LCS:

  • CATWOMAN #36
  • EARTH 2 WORLDS END #8
  • ALL NEW INVADERS #12 - I'm actually enjoying this series, esp. with the upcoming reintroduction of Toro.
  • AMAZING X-MEN #13 - I liked the last storyline (with Alpha Flight), so I'll stick with the title for awhile.
  • CAPTAIN AMERICA AND MIGHTY AVENGERS #2 - I'm not too excited about this title, so we'll see if I keep up with it.  While I like Steve Rogers as the old guy, I'm really not too enthusiastic about Sam as Cap.
  • NEW AVENGERS #27
  • NEW WARRIORS #12 - Last issue, which I'm okay with as I would have dropped it otherwise (I only picked up the series in the first place because of the Scarlet Spider).
  • SECRET AVENGERS #10
  • SUPERIOR FOES OF SPIDER-MAN #17 - I think this is the last issue (or close to it) in this series, which is fine by me.
  • WOLVERINE AND X-MEN #12 - Wondering how long this title will continue to exist with Wolverine's death (I use this term loosely).

My LCS didn't have any copies left of the Transformers/GI Joe book. For some the reason it wasn't showing up on my pull list so I decided to not bother with it and I'm actually giving the issues I do have back to the store to give to someone else. I didn't love the series but I viewed it as two kids playing with their toys so I thought that was kind of fun. However, when I looked at my collection at home, I realized that I was missing issue #2. To me, that was a sign that maybe the book was a little jumbled story-wise or that I didn't care enough about ot to notice that I missed an issue. Being a huge fan of the core GI Joe book by Larry Hama, I'm still getting the one that matters.

*******

That's a great description of it!  I might be the biggest Tom Scioli fan on the planet so there's no way I'm missing an issue but yeah, I can't say it has a whole lot to do with any GI JOE or TRANSFORMERS continuity I've ever been aware of!

BATMAN '66 THE LOST EPISODE was a pleasant surprise.  I was almost expecting to be disappointed mostly based on the $9.99 price tag.  The Garcia-Lopez art is just as great as you would expect and hope for.  It's an extra-long story (30 pages I think) and then they include JGL's pencils for every page and the original Harlan Ellison treatment for the episode.  Very cool all around.

I don't hitbghe store every week anymore, but here's what I got:
Aquaman:  I really really like this book.
Earth 2-Worlds End:  I'm enjoying this. Far more than Futures End which I gave up.
Red Lanterns (last 2 issues):  I like Califiore's art and interested in this story cross over. I did NOT buy GLC or New Guardians. Really dislike those books.
Superman: Johns is a favorite and Romita is always a treat.
