 QUOTE:
What is the likelihood that immediately after being shot by an assassin, JFK would be accidentally shot by a Secret Service agent?  That's a pretty big coincidence.

Well .... the SS accidental discharge theory isn't like he was standing around and just happened to accidentally pull the trigger around the same time Oswald shot, which would be "coincidence". The idea is that in reaction to hearing the first two shots, he picks up the AR-15, looks around, then, as the car speeds up, he loses his footing and squeezes the trigger.

That's a lot to happen in the small amount of time between the first and second shot hitting Kennedy.

My dictionary defines "coincidence" as "a remarkable concurrence of events or circumstances without apparent causal connection" (emphasis added).

If the AR-15 idea was correct (which I'm not saying it it), it still wouldn't be a "coincidence", as there is a causal connection posited (i.e. picking up the AR-15 in reaction to the first shots, the limo speeding up, etc).

My dictionary defines "small amount of time" as "not enough for this to happen."
