Well now this looks like a nice gift. I imagine it will be a hefty price tag thou.

sounds interesting, but as i browse the list of the comics included, i have them all, in one form or in some other collection. the only thing this collection would offer me appears to be size, and that's just not enough anymore, not when big $$$ are involved.
looks nice, though.

i just wanted to add that i understand this "retrospective" collection, but at this point i would prefer more "specific" collections: what ever happened to the Captain Victory HC? how about a HC to match the old Boy's Ranch of Bullseye (which i have never seen? there are Omnibus versions of Newsboy Legion and Boy Commandos, how about Manhunter and Sandman from the same period (and in the same Omnibus format)? so many others! i would like a HC of the last months Kirby spent at Marvel before going to DC (Ka-Zar, Inhumans, Silver Surfer, Tower of Shadows and Chamber of Horrors). Yep, lots out there that yet another collection of his "best" just doesn't fill.

Any comic art that is published at that increased or "original art" size should not be colored in my opinion. There is no indication that this is going to be a black and white representation so I'm out. It doesn't even need to be an Artist Edition for me. I would want it almost as much as an Artist Edition if this was just original sized art pages shot from stats in the Marvel archives. But giant, colored comic books were never my thing.

Scant information on this one.  If, as others have mentioned, large-sized ala Artist's Edition or the recent Art of Simon and Kirby Studio I am in.  If it is just another reprint - with white, white paper that makes the original colors look garish - forget it.

Given the height mention in the article, I'd say this closer to an
Absolute Edition that DC puts out than a Artist Edition.
I figure this tome will have a price tag in the $200 dollar range.

Interesting looking at the image provided. I see the Avengers and The
Mole Man? No FF present. Gotta love when businesses act like rotten
children.

Eric your right. It's been a long time since I've seen it. Still, if that's the
cover it's an odd choice, not a bad one, but an odd one.

There are SO many ways to screw this up, from paper, to printing, to color, to things I haven't even thought of. . .

My official attitude: wait and see.

Considering I have the majority of those stories, I think
my pennies would be better spent on the Mister Miracle
Artists Edition.....hmm.
