Curious thing that strikes me, except for his NAME I don't get much of a Will Eisner vibe from the design of the award.
********

Yeah, I would've like to see them produce a design that paid homage to Eisner's art style, like how he would layout his splash pages or something related to the Spirit.

Still, congratulations on the award, JB.

I thought immediately of a section from a 1940s cityscape which, when viewed from above, formed his distinctive "E".

Congratulations on your selection to the Eisner Hall of Fame, Mr. Byrne! And a pretty impressive class to be inducted with as well!

Edit: Reading back through the thread this appears to be a bit of old news that I somehow missed. That's what I get for being out of touch! Nevertheless, however belated my congratulations, a well-deserved honour!

Congratulations!!!

As somebody who got more in depth in your impressive body of work only recently thanks to my friend, Mr Paul Greer (Thanks Paul! ;) ), i feel like i can say for sure that it is well deserved given not only the quantity but also the quality of the work!

Thanks for all you've done in the medium! I'm getting more enjoyment from your stuff that i'm reading now than what i was reading and collecting mostly until recently. :)

So once again, Congratulations!

JB - do you know he size of the award? There's nothing in the photos
to give it scale.

No idea how big -- or small -- it is!

Hope it's not TOO small, or my name will be microscopic!
