A few hundred miles north of Matt, deep into the tundra of the Bay Area, we only hit 66.  Brrrr.

In my area of WI the December snowfall total was a half inch. That's insane. January was almost as mild. I can't wait to find out what the very low totals will be for January.

A rarity when they're right about the amount of snow you actually get!

Our "6-8 inches" is a dusting...  I think weather forecasters come from Bizarro world.

"It am gorgeous out there!"  (It's wet and cold.)

"It am going to snow lots!"  (Light dusting.)

Aaron thanks for mentioning the blizzard warning. I knew snow was coming. I had no idea we are looking at so much potentially.

"Spring-like weather this weekend in Western Washington"

We could use some more snow in the mountains here (for the skiers) but we had good enough rainfall so far to say that a Summer drought might not be a possibility.

I lived in southern Ontario during what I called "The Winter When Buffalo Went Away." Almost seven months when I could get no further from my apartment than the post office, about three blocks distant.

Ugh!!
