Weather wizards predicted snow, and this time they were right!

About six inches here in northern NJ, but it's turned to a light rain now and the latest forecast says it should be over by 11:30.

It's kind of cool how Gwynn is almost silhouetted against the snow.

Big, chunky flakes up north, too! Spring can come any time now.

A rarity when they're right about the amount of snow you actually get! They're predicting about 6" here in the Chicago area over the next 24 hours or so, beginning sometime in the late afternoon. I'd be more nervous if the forecasters were calling for a "light dusting".

A sunny 45 degrees today...do NOT miss last year's polar vortex.

Bright and Sunny here in San Diego.
But that snow sure looks fun.

The bit of snow and ice predicted for my area (about 1" - 3") didn't quite pan out. As JB showed, most of it went up his way. However, the U.S. weather service still predicts more snow to hit overnight Sunday into Monday. It's going to be a messy start to my work week.
I've been seeing little glimpses of polar temps here. A day or two here, a few days there. Nothing like the deep freeze which bit my area for a week at a time last season, but enough to remind you that it's winter. Spring and warmer days when I can just drop the heavy coat, hat and gloves for a brisk walk in a jacket can't come soon enough!
