Since we're digressing into things not pronounced the way they're spelled, a special favorite is "Cent' anni", which anyone could tell you is pronounced Chen Don.

They had a competitor in South Florida (anywhere
else?) called NEBA...

Never Eat Beef at Arby's

Really

Years later, the Neba "on the circle" became an
Arby's.
