21 huh? Chinese girls can be quite tenacious, especially around young Western guys. The young guys at my school have a great time here. That should make you feel better. :)

Neil, My son is like this girl magnet. This magnetism is a quality he gets from his mother. He is of course completely oblivious to all this attention they give him. This clueless is quality he gets from me. He also suffers from the same social awkwardness that I suffer from. ;)

I'm sure that won't bother my son. He might even find it inspirational

I've been in Shanghai and i really liked it. That's a nice city to go to, if you go to China, he should enjoy his time there. I did not suffer from the pollution there.

I've also been to Beijing, although i was so far out on the outskirts of it, i don't even think you can consider it as being in the city!
Very polluted there this time, even though the weather was mostly good during the trip.

I hope he manages to see some of the architecture. The CCTV building in Beijing has to be seen to be believed. I stayed in a hotel opposite it when it was being built and the guys were welding away, all night, non stop. in -10 degrees C temperatures.

"He was hoping that he would be able to watch some Netflix on the flight over Twilight Zone of course. Nightmare at 20,000 feet he said. Gotta love the kid's sense of humor."

When my teenage son flew to Norway for an exchange program, he downloaded a whole season of Mayday and watched it continuously. For those who have not seen it, it is a Canadian Discovery show where they re-enact airline crashes!
