I think JB has commented that the posted image of the Thing was one of his "damn, I'm good moments"...

I thought practically all of what JB did on the FF was "damn, he's good"!

I thought this was quite special:

And just about everything in #242 - 244 was great.

That picture of Ben in the cab is fantastic!

#260 page 17

Tyros vs. The Silver Surfer. The battle is hitting it's peak, and all
Doctor Doom can do is just stand there.

That above-posted double-page spread of Doom and the FF in Latveria
is a standout amongst standouts for me.

Those issues, from the Tyrax battle to Ben's last appearance as a member of the FF, are awesome. Something changed in how JB drew The Thing. Simply fantastic.

During my tenure with the FF, and, indeed, since, I have been constantly experimenting with how I draw the Thing. Trying to capture just the right look for that dry-river-bed hide of his.

I must say I'm fond of this page - particularly the way the Thing is drawn…

I loved JB's lumpy Thing...

Edited to add that the (I think) full page spread when Ben emerges from the smoking wreckage of Reed's machine transformed into an earlier version of the Thing is one of my favorites!

As a fan, I cannot imagine picking one issue, let alone one panel.

JB's FF run is one of my favorite comic runs ever. That is where JB went from being a favorite artists to a favorite writer too.

Jeffery, one of the great joys of that run was watching JB go from a
good writer and great artist to a true master storyteller on both fronts.

I reread a lot of comics I've bought over the years. Many of them are
almost as enjoyable as they were, when I first read them. There is no
diminishing return what so ever, rereading JB's FF. It's just as much
fun, sometimes more so, than when I first read them. That run truly
made it THE WORLD'S GREATEST COMIC MAGAZINE again.

The splash where Galactus falls really impacted me as a young reader. I wasn't familiar with many artists at the time, but I knew right away this guy was amazing!
