LINK

Scroll down a bit. Then somebody tell me why this is in a listing of my art, and even has my name on it (!!) when it's a COPY of my work. I didn't even know about it before a couple of minutes ago!

This appears to fall under the heading of "lack of fact checking" or "just plain ignorant" as I cannot fathom why someone would credit you for that copy.

That is bizarre! As is the Time cover with Superman saying he has "supernatural" powers...

Well, your name is obviously on the cover as an "After..."  The person who compiled the list must have thought that you actually provided the layout or something. I guess you did, in a way.

It's a cool  piece to do an homage to. Not too crazy about the way it turned out, though.

•••

I see no indication of that. I see my name as the third of four. No "after..." in sight. Conventional credits would imply I inked the piece.

I didn't realize this was fan art, but thought it was an actual published cover. Evidently the "artist" just modified your cover with Photoshop, which is probably why they felt the need to leave your name in.

Strange that the owner of the art page would even come across this, given that your name is misspelled in the description.

EDIT: Ten tries to get the link to work.

A search for my name will produce quite a bit of fan art, often on eBay, and all too often presented as if it is actually mine, with the truth buried somewhere in the description on the page.

A very bizarre inclusion. Also deceptive in the person who did the piece
lists you as an artist and not a typical homage "after" credit.

I wonder if this was just fan art or used as a variant by Marvel?

I really don't think it was published, as the artist has credited themselves on the cover using their DeviantArt name.

Speaking of the credits, Rodriguez is there because he designed the costume, but I'm wondering what Latour (presumably Jason) contributed.

Oh, he's the writer of Spider-Gwen.

This is actually less upsetting, to me anyway, than the artist I saw a
while back, who would copy JB's commissions and just change an
aspect of it. I remember this person copied JB's Super Skrull
commission and just moved the position of one arm. Then he called it
his. If I find an example I'll post a link.

You must have inked it -- so send Marvel a bill for your fee
