Can't remember if I posted this before, anywhere. Clipped the original from SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN some forty years ago (!!) and have carried it in my wallet ever since. Today, I decided to scan the old thing(s) and clean up the art.

So, the question for all is, how many Leprechauns are there? (Not a trick question. They are all Leprechauns.)

Got a number? But switch the positions of the top pieces, and. . .

I've seen it with something else too, as opposed to
Leprechauns, but I forget what it was. It was from my
childhood.

It can be done with pretty much anything. The trick lies in the placement of the objects, not what the objects are.

There's a place in Milwaukee...Spy Bar, maybe(?)...that has a moving wall that does something similar.

I've seen a version featuring pin-up girls by Modesty Blaise artist Jim Holdaway.
