I contacted the real Kitty Pryde's GodDaughter who told me she is not married.

To be fair, if Kitty is at least 18 (19 in Nebraska), she can legally get married without parental permission.  (And she's AT LEAST that now!)

To be realistic, I've been reading GUARDIANS and ALL-NEW X-MEN (the book Kitty spends most of her time in) and I've seen the awkward attempts for them to keep the relationship going.  (He's in space and she's on Earth--talk about a "long distance relationship"!)  With Bendis leaving one or both books, it makes even less sense.  Not to mention that Marvel seems to be trying to line up their books with their movies and Star-Lord and Kitty will NEVER meet in the movies, so why force it in the comics?

David: Is the real Kitty Pryde married JB?

Neil: I contacted the real Kitty Pryde's GodDaughter who told me she is not married.

Me: Just realizing what an odd cascade of dominoes has led to the asking and answering of this question. Back in 1973, when the real Kitty told me to "go ahead" and use her name if the opportunity ever arose, I was not yet in comics as a full-time pro, and the levels to which I would rise, the prominence of the character that would bear her name, and the global sprawl of the internet could not even have been imagined!

And to add, I am currently living and working in China, something that was pretty much unheard of back in 1973.

Maybe it's Franklin Richards' near-omnipotent cosmic powers that are screwing up various characters' ages (including his own!) without anyone (in the Marvel Universe) noticing. Maybe he's playing a game.
