I was just discovering who JB was back then!

Yes, that's where and when I discovered JB's work. How interesting to see this and recall the variety of different inkers back then. Some worked better than others, I think. Quite a stroll down memory lane, though. That Team-Up with The Wasp, those classic 70s Byrne faces....!

I never read any of those!  I'll have to look into getting them.

Mr. Byrne's run on Marvel Team-Up remains some of my favorite comics ever.

The Havok/Thor two parter is biblical Holy Relic level stuff!

The shot of Thor smashing the tugboat was life altering.  I have stared at that panel for what must amount to days since I bought the book when it was new.

Thanks for that JB.

Have the JB issues of Marvel Team-Up and/or Marvel Two-In-One ever been collected in trade paperback form?

They've both been in ESSENTIAL volumes, but stand-alone TPBs, I'm not sure about.

That Spidey/Tigra/Kraven splash does NOT look like Dave Hunt's inks. (Not really a big fan of Hunt's inks over JB at all, either.)

Possibly my favorite issue of someone inking JB is the Thor issue with Tony DeZuniga. Damn, what a pairing! Gorgeous stuff.

MTU # 75 was my first issue of that title, and my first JB comic.

Then you have a good eye - that was the only page of that issue that JB inked himself - in order to demonstrate to Hunt how to ink Tigra's hair.

I'm pretty sure that that's also JB's first pencilled and inked page at Marvel!

I love JB's Tigra! Not to thread drift too much, but is she still a part of
Marvel's universe..?

Some of those inkers back then did not do justice to the magnificence of John Byrne.
Clearly Bob and Terry did great jobs.
