Thoughts? Personally..I fail to see the reason other than money and a movie tie in...

The holes I have in my head are biologically functional, yet DK2 nearly made me add another one right in the middle of my forehead with a Philips screwdriver.
So I'll pass on the off chance that DK3 might do the same.

Once upon a time I would have been happy to see this, but no longer. At least not based on recent history.

I agree with Steve De Young. Also, "Holy Terror." So... no.

I'm cautiously optimistic, as I did enjoy the first two. The presence of a co-writer, plus someone other than Frank handling the art, is cause for concern. For me, Frank's art is a big part of the appeal of the first two. And I'm worried that a co-writer can only dilute Frank's work.
Those are my initial thoughts. Your mileage may vary (as the kids say).

Frank should have just stopped after the first one.

The first one actually had some point to it, if only of the nature of a political cartoon. The second one turned not only itself but all of the events of the first one into a bad issue of World's Finest by revealing that Superman's allegiance to the government was not a free choice, not political, not even a simple difference in world views. Superman, and everyone else, toadied to the president because Luthor was pulling the strings and had made hostages of the heroes' loved ones.
Batman simply didn't have any hostages against him, so he could act freely. It took him ten years to do anything, but y'know... Everyone else had zero choice in the matter, unless allowing every person in Kandor to be killed by Luthor is a choice. Miller took what had been an interesting look at certain real world issues through the lens of a comic book and made it just a mean-spirited, ugly comic.
I particularly disliked the bit where Batman rescues the Flash's hostages and the Flash then, and only then, lays into Superman whose hostages have not been rescued, lecturing him on what it means to be a hero. Who provided power to Luthor's America for the past ten years? What a hypocritical coward. A craven ninny. But he's on Batman's side, so rah, rah, go team...

I'm very much of the opinion that the first DARK KNIGHT serves perfectly well as a stand-alone, "What If?", Last Batman Story.
Sequels, prequels, or any other sort of continuation only serve to diminish that original work.
DK2 completely undid the point of the ending of DK--Bruce Wayne will quietly continue his war on crime, having moved beyond the "loud kind of mysterious" persona of the Batman in favor of a more subtle approach. So, of course, we end the first issue of DK2 with Batman (in full costume, wearing Kryptonite gloves) beating up Superman, and telling him to "get out of my cave". Sigh.

I'm not a big fan of the type of stories Frank Miller likes to tell. So it will be no problem passing on DK3.

As much as I enjoyed the first DK, as an imaginary story, the follow-up did absolutely nothing for me. And after ALL STAR..., I'm pretty much done with reading Miller's Batman.

DK2 was a train-wreck, but if Frank was going the art and all the writing, I think I would still be inclined to seek it out.
I'm guessing, but with another writer on board and no Miller art, it sounds suspiciously like Frank's name is attached to give the project a bit of credibility/ deflect attention from the fact that it's just a cash-in on a well-loved story of old.
