That site, MIKE'S AMAZING WORLD OF COMICS, is a cool one. I saw it before, when somebody posted about it here in another thread.

For fun, here is the creator info page for JOHN L BYRNE!

From 1977 through 1980 there was rarely a month where there wasn't at
least two JB books on the stand. Oftentimes three books! Add to that
the multitude of convention appearances during those years (and the
subsequent sketches that went along with those appearances) - it's a
wonder you didn't burn yourself out!!

19K+ pages! I agree with Dan. You could have easily burned right up on that pace.

It think there IS sign of burn-out in the middle period. About halfway thru FF to just before SHE-HULK -- or NEXT MEN. Whichever comes first!

And that site seems to stop with your work at the year 2008!! Imagine how many more have died since then.

What signs of burn-out were there JB? It's not obvious to me!

That's actually amazing to see all the titles lined up chronologically like that. really puts it into perspective.

Also dispels the myth that JB got his start at Charlton then went on to Marvel. There's a good chunk of Charlton work missing from the list (SPACE:1999, EMERGENCY, WHEELIE, etc), but if I remember correctly they still came out after IRON FIST started.

I left Charlton when Marvel guaranteed me a full plate. WHEELIE and DOOMSDAY predate IRON FIST, I'm pretty sure.

Happy upcoming anniversary !
That issue was my introduction to JB's art . I did not have the GS Dracula
or any Charlton comics at that time.
Coincidently I had not bought any Marvel Premiere issues before that one.
What probably had happened ,as I often would do,was take the non "big"
titles off the spinner rack and flip thru them. If I liked what I saw I would drop
my two bits down on it. So I guess I liked what I saw , for forty years now.

I frikkin' love that website!
Like Matt Hawes, I became aware of MIKE'S AMAZING WORLD OF COMICS when someone here posted a link some time ago.

I'm constantly going to that site to look up what books my favourite artists have worked on, and I've added tons of issues to my LIST.

Also I just browse (for hours) all the covers of the past, just strolling down memory lane.

PS That line: "...bad outFIT" is one of those movie lines that has been stuck in my head forever, and apparrently I ain't the only one.
