MIKE MURRAY: His mother doesn't fit that qualification.

Another lie perpetuated by birther morons (redundant, I know).

Edited to note that it's redundant to call birthers morons.

I'm surprised that Obama is so unpopular considering that his administration ...

(1) extended the ability to obtain medical covered to, what, 50-60 million Americans (I was stunned that this many Americans were doing without coverage, after all, the US is a "rich" country)
(2) didn't start any wars with a foreign power
(3) is pushing the US to become energy-independent by, what, 2025?
(4) is actually leading and negotiating a nuclear development agreement with Iran
(5) resume diplomatic relationships with Cuba
(6) is succesfully leading anti-lebensraum econimc sanctions on Russia

In my experience, no one is as appreciated in their presence -- during their tenure -- as they are once they depart.

If that whack-job Trump takes over as President, Americans may soon wish they had lobbied to add Obama's face to Mount Rushmore.

Why does the notion of not caring where Obama was born make one a 'birther'? Personally I never bothered to looking to the allegations nor the debunking of them, because I feel that it just doesn't matter. Obama had no control over where he was born in the first place, so I find it a waste of time to try to use that as a reason to dispute his legitimacy of the office.

Ugh.  Jeremy, did you even bother to read the page you linked to?  It says exactly what I said.  I used it as a reference when I was writing my post.  Birthers are morons, sure, but that part you quoted isn't a lie.

The medical coverage is nothing to brag about. My rates have tripled since it's become "affordable" (while getting nothing new in return), even though I have no pre-existing health problems. I'm on the verge of dropping my coverage altogether since it's gotten so expensive.

I'm a non-birther two-time Obama voter but I can see that those are two
different ideas. American citizens have children in different countries all
the time.

------

Which is not the point. I'm asking how one can claim philosophical
skepticism about where anyone is born (to the point of questioning
one's own birth certificate), but be positive about someone's citizenship
(which for non-naturalized citizens is determined by birth location.)

This thread was pretty interesting/amusing till the whole 'birther' issue came up.

Thought we'd settled that. *sigh*

Let's be honest. Most birthers wouldn't be able to find Hawaii on a map. And even if they tried they wouldn't think of looking in the big patch of blue called the "Pacific Ocean". It's too much to expect them to accept that their President comes from there and is Black too.

We can talk about how the Donald inspired the return of Bloom County.
There's at least one good thing he's done, albeit indirectly.

For some reason, I suspect this may not help Trump:
