I upgraded today. No problems at all with my Dell Inspiron 17 7000 Series notebook.

I'm on Windows 7 and it has far and away been the best operating system I've ever used. That's why I never upraded to 8 and 8.1. (And the fact that I want my desktop to look like a desktop, none of that tiles shit)
I am looking forward the Windows 10 upgrade but I'll wait a week or two.
Incidentally, I've now had plenty of experience with Android operating systems and of course Apple's ios systems, and none of them seem to upgrade smoothly and flawlessly. The problems that come with a Microsoft update come with Android and Apple pretty much to same extent.

I noticed that Windows Updates are not working on my computer for some reason. I read on various forums that KB3081441 might be the problem.
I am not given the option of uninstalling this particular update when I right-click the file on the Installed Updates page. Is there another way to uninstall this update?

Upgraded my Surface Pro 3 and then spent a good 45 minutes turning off all the snooping functionality.
It's buggy. But not as buggy as the last Adobe update.

Nvidia hasn't released drivers for the on-board video card in the older PC I use for my kids. 400 series. Only Windows 7 drivers on their site. Windows 10 won't upgrade.

On whim, and against my instincts, I upgraded to Windows 10. I wasn't planning to, as I have never had a single issue or complaint with Windows 7.
The install was a bit rocky; upon the initial load, Windows froze and persistently flickered. I exhausted troubleshooting steps that have worked in the past -- Safe Mode, removing video drivers, disabling apps -- and nothing was working. Fortunately I found the answer via Google on my phone; two apps that needed to be disabled; the problem was caused by two apps designed by Microsoft to report problems.
How ironic.

There's tons of deliberate spyware designed and used by Microsoft on Windows 10... so as far as installing it... I think not.
There are ways to remove that invasive part of Windows 10, but I just can't be bothered. Windows 7 works fine.

at this point (i've had Windows 10 installed and used almost daily on one of my laptops since it came out) and finding 6 "nails" * in the coffin that may have me eliminating Microsoft from my life (moving to Ubuntu) or returning to their last stable, problem free (for me) and no-longer-supported platform: XP.
I am NOT impressed (and unlike others here, i did not "enjoy" Win 7, or Vista for that matter - XP was great)
* to be totally honest 3 are specific ONLY to 10, the other 3 exist in 10 and 7 and/or Vista.
