Reading the full article, I note there is no mention of anything that will keep astronauts (and anything else biological) from being turned into raspberry jam on the rear bulkheads by the acceleration.

(I did find myself thinking of the ol' C57-D in FORBIDDEN PLANET. There the crew were seen entering a non-physical state in transporter like devices, while the ship decelerated. Imagining something at acceleration which alters them in a similar fashion, perhaps bringing all their atoms into a "phase union" with the ship. So that's what we need developed next!)

That's just a minor detail, JB!  Nothing to worry about!  I'm sure they'll focus on that..... eventually... maybe... I hope.
