I was definitely saying "Janson" wrong all these years!

Never have I heard it pronounced "JON-sen." JAN-SON, just as spelled.

I've mentioned before that in my own heard, I don't hear my name pronounced as in flame. I hear "BERN" or maybe "BIRN."

I recall being curious about some of the pronunciations of Marvel staffers' names ("Michelinie" rhymes with 'pickle-my-knee'..sort of' in one Bullpen Bulletins page). DC tended to let Bob 'row-ZACK-iss' field the name pronunciation questions in his Answer man column, and those were more about character names('Supes' rhymes with 'soups').
