Unfortunately Bleeding Cool is showing the George Perez cover from
Avengers #181 next to the article

**********

That would be a huge disappointment.  No offense to Perez for sure, but that would rather defeat the purpose of the whole book.

The Perez cover shows up in the Hachette catalogue which is where this info is from so it's not Rich Johnston's fault. I'd expect the cover to change!

As for how much it cost to put out JB well hopefully this has decent reproduction on it. It really makes a difference to things from the pre-digital age.

I have all these issues, but would still be nice to have this omnibus.

I'll have to make sure my shelf can handle another one. Can't wait to put it to the test.

Since things like Namor, Sensational She-Hulk, West Coast
Avengers, and X-Men: The Hidden Years ran too long to go in a
"miscellaneous" collection, I'm not sure what could go into a
second volume of this. New Mutants #75, various What The?
shorts, Star Brand, Indiana Jones...but maybe if enough people buy
this one, Marvel will figure something out.

---

ALPHA FLIGHT...?

******

JB's Alpha Flight run, including X-Men appearances, would make a nice omnibus.

Really pleased they are going with this great image for the cover.

I suppose I'll obtain one of these simple for the shelf-appeal, tho I already have the comics themselves bound in volumes labeled simply "MARVEL".

That seems to be an appropriate cover for this volume!

••

People who buy it looking for the FF, the X-Men, Alpha Flight, etc might not be too pleased!

That's true I suppose JB. But it's such a cool cover...

I wonder if Wolverine's cigar will make the final cut for the cover.  Given the extreme edits and redraws I've seen on some of JB's art for trades, and given how easy it would be to remove the cigar, I'll bet it stays in.

Just celebrated my birthday and I am going to buy this on amazon.com.  Can't wait to see those Hulk issues again.  I wish John Byrne had a five year run or more on that character.  For the first time in years the Hulk became a super star and a regular in my monthly comic purchasing addiction.  Can't wait to read the omnibus.
