For me, this is JB's best work. It will never take the place of my sentimental favorites, Fantastic Four & Alpha Flight, but the art, storytelling, and writing are all flawless. I hope someday we see more of this story.

For me, this is JB's best work.

••

In many respects, I am inclined to agree. THE HIGH WAYS is up there, in terms of the pure mechanics of it, but I was flipping thru DOOMSDAY.1 the other day and was very pleased with how it all came together.

And those who frequent this board know how hard it to for my own work to invoke real pleasure in me, rather than gnawing dissatisfaction!!

I decided to read this again in tribute to this French edition. Intense stuff. And at the end of #4, I was surprised to see the mention of Doomsday.2
What are the chances Mister Byrne???

I think DOOMSDAY.1 is one of JB's best - check out the trade if you have not read this one.

Of all the recent series' that JB has done with IDW, this is the title I would like to see return for more stories. Excellent characters in this one.
