This should not have been cut short, but the trade releases were a wonderful reminder of how great it was to get the series at all.  I didn't know the series was cancelled until the final issue, and only learned of Marvel's hypocrisy later.  It kind of scarred the book in my mind, but reading it all in one shot made it go away.  It really is fantastic.
