Colour is subjective. In my country, as a half white half black man Obama would be referred to as a "red man". (That term is considered more of a description rather than a slur, by the way).  Similarly persons who would be considered "white" here may not be seen as such if they go to the US.

Did I say otherwise? I know full well there are double
standards on both sides of the equasion. But whereas I see it being
wrong in all cases, you and many others apparently don't. That IMO is
part of the problem.

How is the war on true racism ever going to be won if there is a list of
exceptions where it's acceptable?

What's next? Are you going to start saying ALL LIVES MATTER and
NOT ALL MEN?

A lot of well-meaning people whip out "all lives matter" without really
understanding what #BlackLivesMatter means: Of course all lives
matter, but all lives are not equally at risk of wrongful arrest,
imprisonment, violence and even death at the hands of overzealous (to
be generous) cops.

One of my many issues with Clarence Thomas is that he owes his place
on the bench to a form of Affirmative Action. This isn't mind reading. The
list of white conservative judges who were as qualified if not more so
than Thomas in 1991 was fairly lengthy. The list of *black* conservative
judges who were as qualified... not so long.

I am not a big fan of George W. Bush but I would say that he did "walk
the walk" as far as a "color blind" approach to hiring in his
administration. Powell and Rice were both extremely qualified.

I always felt that 'Black Lives Matter Too' would have done a better job at encompassing the message.
