QUOTE:
@Brandon -
I meant to be offensive about Ben Carson because Ben Carson is offensive. |

He may very well be. But why the need to bring his race into it? I could probably think of a hundred offensive things to say about someone without making it racial, but that's just me.
How is racism ever supposed to really be taken seriously in this country when so many trivialize it by using it as a political weapon?
QUOTE:
Some of us in the black community call out brothers like Carson in harsh terms.
Allen West. Same.
Alan Keyes. Same. |

So a person's racial integrity takes a back seat when they have the audacity to belong to a political party you don't like? For this, they should be subjected to the same vile insults they would get from the Ku Klux Klan? Their dignity as black men suddenly means nothing?
Racism is wrong. Period.
I know that many Liberal Democrats think they get to decide what's real racism and what isn't, but they don't. Nor to they get to decide who gets to be black and who doesn't.
I loathe the political views of both Clarance Thomas and Ben Carson, but I will defend them as human beings where things like race is concerned. The fact that so many Liberal/Democrats who ordinarily fixate so much on racism when it suits their political agenda would not is very telling indeed.
