If the teams as presented in issue number 1 from the following titles: Avengers, FF & X-Men all fought, which team would come out on top? Please no "depends on whose book it was in" answers.
Its tough for me to go against that Avengers team, but I'm going with the FF, because Reed Richards would find a way to win.

It has been all along hard for me to imagine a defeat for any team that has Thor as a member. "Find a way to win" is invalid without a description of that way.

Avengers. They were more practised in their powers at the time of their first issue.... And they had Thor and Hulk.

If we go with the conditions as well as the line-ups of #1,the Fantastic Four had been a team for a time, and the X-Men had practiced together, while the Avengers were still a collection of individuals. In fact, the Hulk was against the team, which would persist to #2, and even the actual meeting between them and the FF. Professor X, taking a page from Loki, could take advantage of that, neutralizing Thor, perhaps.

I'm going with the Avengers. When the Hulk wasn't a member, he fought the team (including Thor) and the Fantastic Four at the same time, and only "lost" because he jumped in the water to stop the ants on his body from making him itch! So with Hulk on the team…
Oh, and the Fantastic Four would come out on top in a fight with the X-Men.

I think the experienced but original X-Men (but sans Prof. X) against the Avengers right after the originals -- Captain America, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver -- would be interesting. Who would out-lead the other, Cap or Cyclops?!

That is a tough call. With Cap as the leader and with Thor as the power player, the Avengers are hard to beat. However, I have to go with my gut and say the Fantastic Four. They just have the chemistry and ability to face all challenges. The X-Men wouldn't stand a chance again either F.F. or Avengers.

Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Ant-Man, Wasp, that's a pretty tough team. The X-Men were teenagers and The Invisible Girl had not realized her full potential. I'm going Avengers.

Any team that has a powerful god in their ranks from day one would be hard to beat.
Avengers.

Thor had a big Achilles heel with his hammer in the JIM days. He reverted to Don Blake without his hammer after a minute. In the chaos of the battle and with so many combatants I'd say him losing his powers would be likely to occur. It happened often in those early days.

Thing about Thor -- played "realistically", which I assume is the point of this exercise, he could whip up a combination hurricane/blizzard that would make Katrina look like Spring rain. And that would be right out of the gate. Problem with these superhero battles is that nobody ever seems to let go full throttle. If they did, things would go quiet very quickly.
