I ordered one of these catalogs and received it this week. Really nice book. Instead of using transparencies, the pages are shot from the actual artwork. It’s not as big as the IDW Artist Edition books, but close. The ink lines on the b&w pieces are unbelievably beautiful. A .pdf of the catalog is available for free.

Where is the PDF of the catalog?

Perhaps the PDF catalog will go live after the auction. I see other auctions have a PDF of the catalog, but not the Frazetta auction.

There used to be an option to download a .pdf? It’s probably too big for me to email it directly to you, but if you have a dropbox or something, shoot me an email and we’ll figure out a way to send it to you.

I didn't buy a Frazetta painting back around 1975. Only $1500, but at that time it might as well have been the sun, the moon and the stars!!

Hey, Eric. I just sent it to you.

Mr. Byrne, do you recall which painting it was?

I had a similar experience perhaps a few years earlier at a Seuling Con.  It was the painting of the topless girl on the motorcycle, with handsome biker boyfriend standing nearby and a leering head of the devil in the background.  Something undeniably vulgar about it, but I've always liked it.  I think it was priced at $1200.

Btw, Bud Plant has copies of the auction catalog.  If you just want the book, and aren't eager to get it to place your bid on Dec. 11,  you can probably save ten bucks or so on postage costs by going through him.

I got a Frazetta book in the early eighties that has got a lot of his "doodles" in it. Those doodles showed me how to loosen up my line and helped me out tremendously. Getting a Frazetta painting would be a dream come true.

BTW I still have that book ;Frazetta Book Four.

Hey, Martinho.  Shoot me an email and I'll send you a Dropbox link to it.  It's my work email address, so I'll send it to you Monday!
