That WOLVERINE cover stands as mute testimony to one of the earliest moments at Marvel when the singer became more important than the song. The hair and claws are off-model, and even the face has been "recast."

At the time of release, I *loved* that mini series, but
right from the start, I disliked the "katana" claws -
never made any sense to me, even as a fan caught up in
Logan-mania.
