Chris Ryall...In addition to these JB colouring books, I now also need a collection of all the Hostess Fruit Pie ads. Thanks.

You know, I want to think those actually exist -- a Hero Initiative collection, maybe, like the collected Stan's Soapbox they once did? Now I need to explore this further and see if it actually does exist or was just some odd fever-dream.

Chris Ryall, "if" IDW were to do this coloring book, would it have
perforated pages to tear out?

No. But funny you should ask about a perforated version, too, after some recent discussions we've had about something a little different than this...

Maybe you're remembering the Seanbaby web page that collected them online?

JB, do you think the FINDERS OF LOST CHILDREN story you shared
with us here would make for a good coloring book?

••

That particular story is so dependent upon the blood, especially the room entirely covered with blood, that I think presenting it as a coloring book would come too close to telling people how to color -- which, as I mentioned above, I would prefer to avoid.

…the Seanbaby web page…

••

Very strange to see the one I did there. It looks nothing at all like what I had in my head. Only the VFC on the car in the first panel confirmed it was mine! (Feet to the fire I would have sworn the whole thing took place in a desert!!)

Which one was that JB? There's a lot to look through although they do give me a nostalgic kick. Oddly living in the UK I had no idea what these things were. I think when I finally tried one decades later I was rather disappointed.

There's a little story that goes with that piece. It was basically a "corner of the desk" job, done mostly to scratch a small itch (doing a Hostess ad). I was in the bound volumes library, tucked away in a corner of the Marvel offices of the time. Roger Stern wandered by and stopped in to see what I was working on. He looked over the short script and was horrified. The writer had the Hulk talking like Superbaby ("Me am...")

Rog rewrote it on the spot, free of charge!

JB, who did the inks on that page, or do you know?
