There is an unanticipated aspect to this exercise.

When working on a comic, drawn or photomontage, I like to set up pairs of pages in Ps facing each other, so I can get a sense of how they will look as a whole. Of course, that's not an issue, here, as all these images will be on the right hand page, with a small body of text facing from the left. Yet I still feel -- and submit to -- the urge to see pairs of pages side by side.

Chris Ryall commented today that the images I have been sending him make him eager to know what the whole story is.

I told him I'd let him know as soon as I know myself!!

As of today this thing has an official title, but I will leave that for IDW to announce when the time is right.

Interesting on the the left side text - any particular
thinking that led you down that particular path JB?

And I had to look it up to get the reference. I knew
JB's point of reference would most assuredly not be the
same as mine. As a Canadian high-schooler in the 80s,
that line is all Platinum Blonde (whose singer,
incidentally, is from the UK).

Spent a few minutes this morning working up a dummy for the cover. This thing is getting more real by the moment!!

And another peek. . .

That's not from the cover.

Not in any way a slight on the rest of the preview, but
I look at that and my first thought is "Byrne nose"!
Hmm, now that I think about it, that would make a cool
title for a JB advice column. At any rate, these pages
are looking gorgeous!
