Might be a bit of a niche product, but I
would love a coloring book that comprised
of DANGER UNLIMITED, TORCH OF LIBERTY,
TRIO, NEXT MEN, TRIPLE HELIX and CONCLAVE.

Heck, I'd pay good money for a coloring
book devoted strictly to THE HIGH WAYS.

Paging Mr. Ryall!

"If one were to make a coloring book, what type of paper
would you guys recommend?"

**

Whatever the technical term is for "white but not
glossy". And obviously heavy enough to stock to stand
up to a firm pencil rubbing.

IDW already has a number of coloring books out, so I'd think they'd be
open to more.

I was planning to pick up their Locke & Key book and this one:

For some reason there are some people don't understand that you aren't against color, but that you would prefer that work you created with the intention that it be viewed as a black and white piece not be colored.

I would be interested in seeing a JB coloring book. It doesn't have to be Marvel or DC characters, either, as you own the rights to plenty of your own characters, JB.

Edited to note Stephen pretty much posted the same idea I was suggesting. :-)

This would be a great project for JB - he is one of the few who could depict Marvel and DC characters with the minimal line work that leaves spaces open for color.  And while it's currently a craze for adults, JB would do something both kids and adults would find fun - a perfect family book that parents and kids can enjoy together.

I'd actually prefer this to a DC or Marvel coloring book by JB.

How about a series of sci-fi images?

Colouring books are all the rage right now. JB, your creator owned characters would be fun. Sci-if images would also be nice. Anytime I am in a book store the mandala inspired coloring books section seems to have gotten a little bigger.

My sense is that the coloring book craze may have about half a year left in it, but I suppose I could look at that as my cue to make like Dagwood and run for that last car as the train pulls out of the station.

From a marketability standpoint, can
anyone imagine a JB drawn Star Trek
coloring book?

Remember to avoid sexist imagery and include trigger warnings. It's a brave new world out there.
