Watching the new Monkees music video, that uses comic book panels from the old Dell/Gold Key comics (see the musical thread in the forum to check it out) got me thinking how neat it would be if whomever currently holds the rights would issue a Monkees Omnibus. It was only a 17 issue run, so one volume would cover it. It would have been especially cool if it could have been done this year, in time for the 50th anniversary of the group and TV series.
What would you like to see collected as an omnibus that hasn't already been collected?

Starlin! But (since we're wishing) I would like one with all his one or two-parters from multiple companies! That one GHOST RIDER he did, one issue of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN he drew, that "Ultra Boy on the run" LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES issue, the 3-part Superman story that introduced Mongul in DC COMICS PRESENTS, a Batman 2-parter with an ape in DETECTIVE COMICS, etc. I saw on Grand Comics Database that he did some random issue or SUPERMAN or ACTION that I've never seen, but I neglected to make a note of the number--stuff like that!

I know there have already been JBNM collections, but I'd like to have all of the issues together in hardcover color volumes of the same size and trade dress.

John Buscema's Avengers work. In fact, any John Buscema collection.
The Hanna-Barbera super hero stories. There were seven issues of TV Super Stars, a couple of Space Ghost releases, Marvel's Hanna-Barbera releases, and one or two others. Not the dumb Coast to Coast or Harvey Birdman books; the real super heroes.
Jim Aparo's Batman stories. The Brave and the Bold stories have been in collections; I want one dedicated to the stories with just Batman.

I was hoping IDW's revival of ROM might somehow lead to a ROM Omnibus collecting all of the Marvel issues, but…

DC Comics: The Shadow-Complete Collection I want to see everything from O'Neil, Kaluta, Wrightson, Chaykin, and the Helfer/Baker runs.
There was a hardcover collection of the Russ Heath, Cary Bates Lone Ranger strip that was to be released a while back. I don't believe it ever was. I would really enjoy that one.
This is a tough one. It seems just about everything has been collected in some form or another.

1) Would love to see Marshall Rogers' Dr. Strange collected, compiling DOCTOR STRANGE #48-53 and MARVEL FANFARE #5. 2) There's a MACHINE MAN collection finally on the way, which will be great to see the Kirby & Ditko runs collected, but unfortunately because of licensing will be missing the Kirby origin issues in 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY #8-10.
3) Also, wouldn't mind if there were some trade paperbacks of JB's Charlton stuff, like DOOMSDAY +1 and SPACE: 1999. Luckily, at least we already have a ROG-2000 collection!

Well, JB's Alpha Flight in Omnibus form would be great, as would his She-Hulk runs.
Since someone mentioned Jim Starlin, I'd live to see his Warlock issues, through Marvel Team Up Annual. Maybe even throw in his Captain Marvel issues.

Does an omnibus HAVE to be 1,000 pages for $100 and weigh 20 pounds? I wouldn't mind some SMALLER omnibuses.
Of course, I had no problem buying the three Neal Adams BATMAN collections for $150 total!
