 QUOTE:
I really wish I knew what Trump's angle was. He has money so he's not in it for the salary, I'm sure. Is it delusions of grandeur?

Do we know he has money? There's speculation based on the sheer pettiness of his petty swindles like Trump U and randomly stiffing contractors, which are more consistent with the behavior of a man desperate for money, not a self-sufficient billionaire. It might be instincts left over from when he was a mere millionaire, but his net worth is not public information, and really could be anything.

One of the things I find confusing about Trump is how many of the things he is saying are the opposite position to where he was, say, 10 years ago.

It seems likely that he does not have any strongly-held political beliefs, and primarily wants attention/popularity.  He seems to say what he believes will be popular with his target audience.  If elected this would likely cause him to govern in a capricious and inconsistent manner.  Which to me is still preferable to someone like Ted Cruz who would govern in a very predictably dogmatic manner.

I Googled to try to find an image of Trump wearing the Infinity Gauntlet, since surely somebody else must have thought to do it by now, and found THIS.

I have no idea what the hell I just watched.

If it's a publicity stunt, then he needs to step down. Now.

I honestly thought it was akin to the "Hulk Hogan running in 1998" fiasco. The joke has gone on long enough. It should be over.

Someone asked me why I should care as a Brit. The US is an influential nation, a superpower. I don't trust Trump to build bridges and I fear it'd strain the good relationship the UK has with the US (is the relationship perfect? I doubt any is, but I feel the UK and US has a tight alliance).

Go back to what former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau said about sharing a border with the United States. It was like sleeping with an elephant, he said. The elephant did not actually have to DO anything, but one was constantly aware that it was there!

I sort of feel bad for Paul Kupperberg.  He has to share his birthday with a racist asshole.

He just keeps finding new sides of his mouth to talk out of. Now he's telling the LGBT community he'll be the best thing that ever happened to them* after saying a few months back he was against gay marriage. How do his supporters not see thru his bullshit?

*And of course one of the biggest ways he'll do that is ban all Muslims from the US.

One of the upper echelon management types I used to have to deal with operated much like a four year old child. He seemed genuinely to believe each lie wrote over the previous ones, even when spoken in rapid succession.

Trump reminds me of that guy. Not to say he's lying, of course, but he does seem to think no one will notice when things said and done in THE ADVENTURES OF DONALD TRUMP #124 don't match with #78.

I think Trump's position shift to the right is probably genuine. It happens
to a lot of people as they get older. Dennis Miller is an even more
extreme example.

It's also worth noting that on paper, Trump's positions on trade and
immigration were contrary to GOP orthodoxy. It was somewhat bold of
him to run on those views.

I'm not a fan of the guy, but I think the charges of fraud or con man are
somewhat misplaced because an actual con artist wouldn't choose
such alienating positions. He certainly wouldn't attack W. before the SC
primary.

He's basically your racist Uncle Donald who ran for president. I think he
did believe things were so bad only he could fix it so he ran. I also think
he did want to make his case known after his fued with Obama.
